MCPR has been brought on board by National Geographic to handle the UK publicity for its exciting portfolio of new and returning television series.
The agency’s dual role will see it working in an independent capacity on standalone programme publicity campaigns for key shows throughout the year, as well on others where they will work alongside the in-house team as an extension of the press office.
As part of the retainer MCPR will provide senior PR counsel and consultation to the PR team and wider UK marcomms team. The agency will also input into things like creative sessions, media training, talent liaison and there will also be a special focus on utilising MCPR’s specialist journalistic knowledge and know-how around how best to use content of their TV shows, research and photography to generate news and drive positive coverage and tune in.
MCPR has worked with National Geographic since 2017 on their TV programming publicity. Most recently their work on returning series car S.O.S helped the channel to achieve its highest ever ratings for a returning series.
