Join Thomas and his friends for all-new adventures as they discover new technology and inventions in two brand new specials, Thomas & Friends™: Marvellous Machinery, airing on Channel 5 Milkshake! on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October at 7.00am.
In the two specials, “A New Arrival” and “World of Tomorrow”, the Earl and Ruth, a young inventor from the USA, hold a technology fair on Sodor, bringing all sorts of exciting inventions from around the world to the island. In “A New Arrival” Thomas finds out that the Earl’s Technology Fair will bring new inventions to Sodor, including the arrival of Kenji, a state-of-the-art electric engine from Japan. With the help of his new friend Ruth Thomas sets out to prove that steam engines are still the best inventions ever.
And as the Sodor Technology Fair is in full swing in “World of Tomorrow”, many exciting new inventions are on show including giant robots, milkshake making machines and even Gordon becoming magnetic! But Thomas notices the suspicious looking cooks Baz and Bernie with their engine Sonny – who is voiced by TV Presenter Joe Swash – lurking around the fair, and it isn’t long before Baz and Bernie steal the plans for Ruth’s amazing new invention! As a high-speed chase follows, can the thieves be caught by the Steam Team and the new inventions?
Thomas & Friends: Marvellous Machinery will introduce exciting inventions and technology to viewers, teaching creative and fun ways to solve problems. The specials will air on Channel 5 Milkshake! on Saturday 24th October and Sunday 25th October at 7.00am.
